Woolrich Spring 2013 Behind The Scenes

This past week I was in the company hometown of Woolrich, Pennsylvania shooting their Spring 2013 line of garments. The idea was to produce a brochure to aid the sales reps just in time for their sales meeting to show how the garments fit and tell the story of their unique details. This meant two full days of shooting and an intense day of retouching and layout. The shoot took place on the mountain top at the Woolrich Brayton lodge, a beautiful log home built from the lumber on the property to house visitors and host meetings. The view from the deck is of rolling hills and fog-laden valleys. The black bears even visited us a few times, amongst the wild turkeys, porcupines, and woodpeckers. It was the perfect backdrop for a shoot about a brand that’s rich in history and all about feeling at ease in the outdoors. It was wonderful to work with models Mac & Julie who were relaxed, friendly and versatile. Many thanks also to Jen for her spectacular still life set-ups in the woods, and Leah for her patience and amazing layouts for the final brochure. I will post some actual shots from the shoot at a later date, but for now here’s a taste of our hectic few days behind the scenes, styling, waiting, getting cold, and having a run-in with a neighbor’s horse and integrating him into our shoot…
