This will be the second year in a row that I’ll be taking part in the silent auction at the Shield of Athena Art Auction.
As a small business owner I want to begin doing my part for organizations in the community that matter to me. The Shield of Athena is a non-profit organization for victims of family violence, and they also run a women’s shelter. Their annual art auction generates a lot of money for their organization every fall. Last year’s silent auction was quite extensive, with a large variety of donations. I donated a personal, framed photograph, see my post here from last year. This year I have donated a gift certificate for a family photo session. I hope it is well received!
The silent auction happens during the afternoon/early evening, and then a live art auction takes place later in the evening. It takes place at Marché Bonsecours in Montreal on Sunday November 10th. If you’re in the area you should drop by and have a look, maybe you’ll find a few great things to put a bid on! It’s all for a great cause.
